Police arrested a 25-year-old man while they investigated his being robbed on Mechanic Street around 8 p.m. Oct. 16.

According to police, Reinaldo Alverez-Reyes, of Orlando, Fla., was reporting a crime when officers discovered he was in possession of numerous forged checks.

A warrant was obtained and he was arrested forgery, conspiracy to commit forgery and possession of a small amount of marijuana.
