Senior Adults Gaining Enrichment, an outreach program of Penn State Lehigh Valley for adults ages 55 and older, is hosting speaker, Michele Ramsey, associate professor of communication arts and sciences and women’s studies at Penn State Berks, Nov. 6, in room 135 at Penn State Lehigh Valley, 2809 Saucon Valley Road, Center Valley.
Ramsey who will discuss “Enacting Racism: Clarence Thomas, Anita Hill, Character and the Constitution,” will focus on the rhetoric of Thomas during his Supreme Court confirmation hearings and how it impacted Hill.
Thomas was accused of sexually harassing or engaging in unseemly behavior toward Hill.
Each SAGE session begins with coffee at 10:30 a.m., followed by the featured speaker at 11 a.m., and lunch at noon. There is a fee to attend.
