Enjoy a pancake brunch at Salisbury High School Nov. 8

Nov. 8 is a very busy day in Salisbury.

There is a pancake brunch hosted by the Salisbury High School girls basketball team in the high school cafeteria 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Tickets can be purchased from any player or at the door.

After brunch, there will be two basketball camps. The SHS girls basketball coaches and players will hold a basketball camp 1 to 4 p.m. for girls in third through eighth grade in the high school gym.

At the same time, the Bruce Uhl Falcon basketball camp will be held in the high school gym for boys in fourth through seventh grades. Registration forms for both camps can be found on the school website. Advanced registration is preferred but walk-ins are welcome.

If you do not have any budding basketball players going to camp, the Salisbury Twirlers are hosting a Longaberger basket bingo fundraiser at the middle school Nov. 8. Bingo begins 1 p.m.; doors open noon.

Western Salisbury Elementary School and Harry S Truman Elementary School will hold Halloween costume parades 2 p.m. Oct. 30.

Salisbury Township schools will be closed Nov. 3 for a teacher professional development day. That is also Election Day so make sure you get out and vote.

Nov. 5 is the end of the first marking period for both SHS and Salisbury Middle School.

The WSE PTA will start the Perkins pie fundraiser Nov. 5.

Nov. 10 is the fifth grade parent invitation to lunch at WSE.

This year’s fall play at the high school is “The Importance of Being Earnest.” Showtimes are 7:30 p.m. Nov. 12, 13, 14 and 3 p.m. Nov.15. To order your tickets now, send an email to salisburytheatre@salisburysd.org.

An operations committee meeting will be held 7 p.m. Nov. 2 at the administration building.

The Devonshire yard waste drop-off site will be open 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Oct. 31, Nov. 3 and 7.
