Donald G. Heller, 80, of Orefield, died Oct. 21, 2015, at home.
He and his wife Carol A. (Schantz) Heller were married 53 years in August.
Born in Allentown, he was the son of the late Gerald and Beatrice (Strohl) Heller.
In 1953, he graduated from Parkland High School and, later in 1970, from Allentown Business School.
Prior to retiring, he ran the suspension department of Hale Trailer Brake and Wheel, worked as a purchasing agent for Holan Division of Ohio Brass and as a foreman for Asplundh Tree Expert Co.
A member of Jordan United Church of Christ, South Whitehall, he was a deacon and elder as well as the treasurer for the building and cemetery committees.
He was a former officer for the Orefield and North Parkland athletic associations.
Listening to polka music and watching stock car racing were two of his hobbies.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Mark A. and his wife, Mary J. Heller, of Allentown; brother Leonard and his wife, Gail, of Allentown; sister Joan Boka of Allentown; and grandchildren Emily J and David A.
