BASD: PSBA honors Faccinetto

Michael Faccinetto, president of Bethlehem Area School District school board, was named one of two state Master School Board Directors by the Pennsylvania School Boards Association.

The award recognizes his accomplishments in effective governance and meeting the needs of students through service, excellence and equity. He was recognized at the annual PASA-PSBA School Leadership Conference from Oct. 13 to 16 in Hershey.

LVCA: ‘Inspector Hound’ opens Oct. 30

The Lehigh Valley Charter HS for the Arts will present Tom Stoppard’s “The Real Inspector Hound” at 7 p.m. Oct. 30 and 31 and a 2 p.m. matinee Nov. 1 at the school 321 E. Third St.

The opening performance, in the new building’s theatre, centers around theatre critics Moon and Birdboot. The duo are reviewing a typical British murder-mystery, ala Agatha Christie in this play within a play.

The production is directed by Ashley Weller. Tickets are available at www.CharterArts.org.
