Joseph Stephen Barron

Joseph Stephen Barron, 66, of Bethlehem, died suddenly on Oct. 19, 2015. Born in Allentown, he was a son of Mildred (Strecky) Barron of Bethlehem and the late Joseph Michael Barron. He was the husband of Teresa (Hatch) Barron for 21 years.

He was in the U.S. Marines during Vietnam.

He was a truck driver for Walgreen’s and a welder for Mack Trucks Inc.

Known as the neighborhood handyman, he was a member of the V.V.A. and the Fullerton Legion.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Michael and his wife Karen; a daughter, Jill and her husband Michael Torquato; two step-daughters, Jennifer Schofer and companion Nick Sheats, and Maren Schofer and companion Philipp Mann; a sister, Joanne and her husband Richard Check; four brothers, Stephen J. and his wife Jean Barron, Robert “Sparky” and his wife Irene Barron, Paul and his wife Sandy Barron and Albert “Corky” and his wife Paula Barron; two grandchildren, Emilia and Annika Barron, and Anthony Torquato on the way; nieces; nephews; great-nieces; great-nephews; cousins; aunts; and uncles.
