Leonard J. Martin, 90, of Lower Saucon Township, died Oct. 17, 2015, at his residence. He was the husband of Lucille N. (Meyers) Martin for 69 years. Born in Bethlehem, he was a son of the late John A. Martin and Grace M. (Brunell) Martin.

He was a Tech. Sgt. in the B-4 in the Army Air Force during World War II.

He was a carrier operator in the beam yard at Bethlehem Steel for 29 years until he retired.

He was a member of St. George’s Episcopal Church, Hellertown.

He was a member of VFW Post 3094 where he was a past chaplain. He was awarded for being a 17 year volunteer as camp ground host at Promise Land State Park.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Leonard L. of Bethlehem, and Bruce H. and his wife Sheri of Hellertown; a daughter, JoAnn L. and her husband Robert Heil II of Bethlehem; five grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
