Edward John Hanzlik, 82, of Bethlehem, died Oct. 13, 2015. Born in Bethlehem, he was a son of the late John and Jennie (Morris) Hanzlik. He was the husband of Janet (Madtes) Hanzlik for 57 years.
He was in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War.
He was a mail handler for the U.S. Post Office for 30 years. After he retired, he worked at Lehigh University in the laundry department.
He was a lifetime member of the Jefferson Democratic Club and a member of the MORA club.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Thomas and his wife Kim of Blythewood, S.C.; a daughter, Kathy and her husband Eric Miller of Blue Bell; a sister, Linda Scott of Freemansburg; four grandchildren, Caitlin and Evan Miller and Sarah and Michael Hanzlik; and a great-grandson, Alex Hanzlik.
He was predeceased by two sisters, Eleanor Bowers and Jean Schleppy.
