This Friday, Oct. 16, the Whitehall Zephyrs varsity football team will travel to Bethlehem to take on the Freedom High School Patriots.

Kick-off is at 7 p.m.

Whitehall Township Public Library has some fun events scheduled for October. Move night is scheduled for 6:15 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 20. The featured film will be “Scooby-Doo & Kiss: A Rock and Roll Mystery!”

Also at the library, at 7:13 p.m. (yes, 7:13 p.m.) on Thursday, Oct. 22, stop by to hear some mysterious stories with “Ghost Tales with Charles Adams III.”

Coplay Borough will hold its annual Halloween parade, sponsored by Coplay Recreation and Welfare Association, at 7 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 20. Walk or drive to Coplay and bring your chair or blanket, so you can line the streets with your neighbors and take in the happy and spooky sights at the parade.

The parade goes down Chestnut Street and turns onto Second Street.

The rain date for the parade is Oct. 27.

Remember that a great way to get into the Halloween spirit is to take a terrifying ride through the Haunted Woods at Whitehall Parkway, sponsored by Whitehall Active Volunteer Fire Department Association. This event happens every Friday and Saturday night in October, 7-10 p.m., at the parkway, which is off South Church Street.
