Henry D. Frey

Henry “Hank” D. Frey, 86, of Whitehall, died Oct. 1, 2015.

Born in Salisbury Township, he was the son of the late Henry O.D. Frey and Mildred A. (Dottery) Frey.

He and his wife, Nancy, were married 66 years in July.

A graduate of the former South Whitehall High School, he majored in electrical engineering at Penn State.

He enlisted in the U.S. Army, served in the Army Security Agency, and was a World War II veteran.

He started Jordan Industrial Insulators and ran the company for 22 years.

A member of the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary and Navy League of the United States, he also was a member of Grundsau Lodge 16.

He rode and kept horses over his lifetime and was an avid hunter, receiving awards from Boone and Crockett and Pope and Young.

His numerous interests also included fishing, boating, water-skiing and archery.

His outgoing nature and emphasis on family and friends touched many lives. He lived life to the fullest.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by adaughters Devon Frey and companion Mark Miller, and Christin Keiser and her husband Philip; siblings Donald, Lois, Barbara, Lillian, Francis, Lola, Dale and David; sisters-in-law; nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by siblings Herbert, Ernest, Betty, Robert, Paul and Russell.

Memorial donations may be made to The Michael J. Fox Foundation and the National Parkinson Foundation.

Arrangements were made by Gilbert Funeral Home, Whitehall.
