Grace UCC to hold Halloween Hop
Grace United Church of Christ will be holding a Halloween Hop 7-10 p.m., Friday, Oct. 23, at the church, 902 Lincoln Ave.
Enjoy a night of fun, your favorite oldies and Halloween dance music. Come in costume if you wish; there will be prizes for best dressed.
A drawing for a 40-inch flat-screen TV will also be held.
A dollar dance with “Tootsie the Clown” is also planned.
Tickets can be purchased at the church office or at the door the night of the event.

Registration for fall programs at Northampton Area Public Library is underway. Sessions will be held Tuesday, Oct. 27 through Dec. 10 at the library, 1615 Laubach Ave.
Wonderful Ones for ages 10 months to 2 will be held 10-10:45 a.m., Thursdays.
Toddler Storytime, for 2-year-olds, will be held 11-11:20 a.m., Tuesdays or 10-10:20 a.m., Wednesdays.
Creative Preschoolers Storytime, for ages 3 and up, will be held 10-10:45 a.m., Tuesdays or 10:30-11:15 a.m., Wednesdays.
Family Toddler/Preschool Storytime will be held 6:30-7 p.m., Tuesday evenings.
The Storycraft Program for children in kindergarten, first or second grade will be offered 6-7 p.m., Thursdays.
A new program, Kids Create, for children in third through fifth grades, will be held 4:30-5:30 p.m., Thursdays.

Northampton Area Public Library will celebrate Teen Read Week Oct. 19-24. Contests, activities and prizes are all part of the fun.
A discussion on the book “Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children” will take place at 6 p.m., Monday, Oct. 19. Books are available at the library.
Book art and folding will take place at 6 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 20.

Also at the library, a program titled “Ghosts and the Paranormal,” presented by Al Rauber, will take place at 6:30 p.m., Monday, Oct. 26.

The women of St. Paul’s United Church of Christ, 19th Street and Lincoln Avenue, will hold a basket social and bake sale 1-8 p.m., Friday, Nov. 6, and 8 a.m.-1 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 7.
The kitchen will be open Friday for a light lunch or supper.
On Saturday, breakfast will be served 8 a.m.-noon. The menu includes eggs, sausage, home fries, pancakes, toast and beverages. There is a cost.
The basket drawing will take place at 1 p.m. on Saturday. You do not need to be present to win.
This fundraiser supports various community organizations and church projects.
