The East Penn Conference Girls Tennis Tournament began on Oct. 1 at Pocono Mountain East High School, but play was halted at approximately 2 p.m. that day due to rain. Organizers, coaches, and players had hoped to finish the quarterfinals, semifinals, and finals on Oct. 2, but bad weather postponed the tournament again.

On Tuesday, Ray Ramella, Director of Athletics at Nazareth Area High School, said the tournament will continue to Tuesday, Oct. 13.

The start time will be 3:30 and the site will be Parkland High School tennis courts.

Ramella said they will complete the last few remaining quarterfinal matches of number-four doubles, all of the semifinal rounds as well as the consolation round (3rd & 4th place) and championship round (1st & 2nd place) for each of the six brackets.

The remaining quarterfinal and semifinal matches that were taking place when the postponement occurred will resume play at the exact point where they were stopped.
