Joseph Natishak

Joseph Natishak, 83, of South Whitehall Township. died Sept. 27, 2015, at home.

He was the husband of Rita (Berish) Natishak.

Born July 21, 1932, in Simpson, he was a son of the late Michael and Christine (Fegal) Natishak.

He served his country faithfully in the U.S. Army during the Korean War earning the rank of sergeant.

A store manager for Laneco, Dorneyville, for 14 years before retiring, he previously worked for the former Food Fair and Pantry Pride.

He was a member of St. Joseph the Worker Roman Catholic Church, Orefield.

In addition to his loving wife of 60 years, he is survived by a son Joseph C. and Monica Natishak of Pottsville; grandson Joseph M. Natishak of Pottsville; granddaughter Kelly and Mark Puzdrak of Austin, Texas; siblings Joan Heller of Uniondale, Romayne Romyn of Scranton, Pauline Shager of Uniondale, Donald Natishak of Forest City; and nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by a brother Michael.

Family and friends may call 10-11 a.m. on Oct. 1, at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church, 1879 Applewood Drive, Orefield.

This will be followed by a Mass of Christian Burial 11 a.m. with the Rev. Msgr. Joseph P.T. Smith as celebrant.

Interment will conclude services at Resurrection Cemetery, Wescosville.
