Girls soccer moves to 8-0-1

The Whitehall girls soccer team knocked off Emmaus 3-0 in a recent game.

Ivanna Jones scored twice in the win and Jillian Kreglow added a goal as well as the Zephs improved to 8-0-1 on the season.

Kylee Cunningham picked up two assists and Taylor George assisted on a goal.

Shianne Reimer picked up the shutout in net.

Before that, the girls blanked Pleasant Valley 3-0.

Taylor George scored unassisted to get the Zephs on the board and Kyle Saliby and Erica Juliano also added unassisted tallies in the first half.

The boys soccer team lost to Emmaus 4-0 as the Hornets scored three times in the first half.

Noah Bacon had two goals and Jonathan Heberlein and Stephen Groh also scored.

The Hornets outshot Whitehall 17-7 as Zeph keeper Aaron Sierra made 13 saves.

The boys lost to Pleasant Valley 2-0.

Enes Nikecivic and Malachai Jones scored second half goals to break a scoreless tie and help the Bears to victory.

Aaron Sierra made five saves in the loss. The Zephs outshot PV in this contest 11-9.

The boys did get a victory over Pocono Mountain West on the road.

Whitehall got on the board first with a goal from Mike Saccani off a Javaughn Hussett assist.

But West would score the next two goals to take a 2-1 lead.

Hussett would tie the game before halftime at 2-2 off a pass from Tony Kleckner. Javy Rodriguez broke the tie in the second half as Hussett setup the game-winner.

The Zephs dominated the shot totals in this contest, outshooting West 24-6.
