A lecture and book signing of “Lincoln’s Boys: John Hay, John Nicolay And The War for Lincoln’s Image” by Joshua Zeitz will be held at 1 p.m. Sept. 26, Lehigh Valley Heritage Museum (LVHM), 432 W. Walnut St., Allentown.

“John Hay and John Nicolay were Lincoln’s personal secretaries and among his closest confidants and friends. Drawing on letters, diaries, and memoirs, Dr. Zeitz details Hay’s and Nicolay’s insights on the Civil War years and the tragic days after Lincoln’s assassination,” said Joseph Garrera, LVHM Executive Director. The biography Hay and Nicolay published spanned 10 volumes.

Zeitz has taught American history and politics at Cambridge, Harvard and Princeton universities. He has appeared as a commentator on two PBS documentaries.
