Lehigh Valley K9 Trials scheduled Sept. 27 at Salisbury High School
Ah... The school year is finally back in full swing.
Football, pumpkins, and sweatshirts....fall is around the corner! The Salisbury Township district schools are bustling with activities.
The week of Sept. 21 is PACK week for the elementary schools. This is a week when the students are encouraged to wear a color and choose fruits and veggies, that correspond with a color schedule and are plentiful in a healthy lifestyle. The schedule for the rest of the week is: Wednesday-red, Thursday-yellow or orange and Friday-green. The cafeteria will also offer options to correspond to the daily color.
Salisbury High School will host an open house starting 6:45 p.m. Sept. 24.
Salisbury Middle School will present the first dance of the year 7 to 9 p.m. Sept 25.
The girls soccer team will host a flapjack breakfast 8 to 10 a.m. Sept. 27 at the Applebee’s Grill and Bar, 1510 Cedar Crest Blvd. There is a cost.
The Lehigh Valley K9 Trials will be held 9 a.m. Sept. 27 at SHS, 500 E. Montgomery St. The event is sponsored by the Salisbury Township Police Officer Association. The funds raised from this year’s event will help support a scholarship fund set up for families, canines and officers. This is an event you don’t want to miss.
There will be a curriculum and technology committee meeting 7 p.m. Sept. 28 at the administrative building, 1140 Salisbury Road.
Sept. 28 is photo day for students at Harry S Truman Elementary School. Do not forget to bring your order envelopes that day.
Oct. 2 marks the middle of the first marking period for the middle and high schools. It is also parent visitation day at SMS. Look for information to be sent home.
The operations committee will meet 7 p.m. Oct. 5 at the administrative building.
Oct. 5 will be the next PTO meeting at HST.
The Jerusalem Evangelical Lutheran Church of Eastern Salisbury will hold a penny party 1 p.m. Sept. 26. The annual Harvest Home event will take place Sept. 27.
The Franco Farm yard waste drop off site will be open 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sept. 22 and 26.
