John I. Blaukowitch, 93, of Allentown, died Sept. 19, 2015.

He and his wife Marion L. (Werley) Blaukowitch were married 69 years last June 29.

Born in Stiles, Lehigh County, he was the son of the late Frank A. and Cecelia B. (Wexler) Blaukowitch.

He was a machinist and welder at Spirax Sarco, Allentown, for 46 years before retiring in 1987.

He faithfully and honorably served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, John N. and his wife, Nancy, of Bethlehem.
