Plans for the borough’s annual Halloween parade are progressing nicely, according to Coplay Recreation & Welfare Association members, who organize the event each year.
The parade is scheduled for Tuesday, Oct. 20.
Whitehall High School Zephyr Marching Band, Allentown All-Most Marching Hobo Band and East Hills Middle School Band from the Bethlehem Area School District are already committed to performing. Coplay Sports Inc. is also expected to have a float in the parade.
Coplay Recreation & Welfare has been sponsoring the parade since the late 1950s by then association president Robert A. Hauke, who chaired it for decades.

With these trees now damaged, it may have just accelerated the borough’s plan of removing them from places where pavements have heaved, resulting in safety concerns for pedestrians.
