Edward D. Whitehead III, 44, of Whitehall, died Sept. 18, 2015, in the Hospice House VNA, St. Luke’s, Bethlehem.

He was the husband of Tamra L. (Welty) Whitehead for six years; they had shared life together for the past 20 years.

Born in Allentown, he was a son of Edward D. and Linda (Bauer) Whitehead Jr. of Allentown.

He was a graduate of William Allen High School. He earned a bachelor of science degree from Kutztown University and a master’s degree in education from Wilkes University.

He was an English teacher for the Catasauqua Area School District for the past 19 years.

He was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Egypt.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Addison, and two brothers, Michael and Eric, both of Whitehall.
