The Circle of Life Committee at Phoebe Health Care Center, 1925 Turner St., Allentown, will host its 16th annual basket social in Moyer Hall 4-8 p.m. Oct. 8, and 7 a.m.-4 p.m. Oct. 9.

More than 100 themed gift baskets will be raffled with values of up to $100 or more.

Food will be available for purchase. The event is free and open to the public.

The basket social provides funds to put Phoebe Allentown’s “Circle of Life” program into action in ways to make the Health Care Center more home-like.

An integral part of this is Phoebe’s award-winning intergenerational program which includes activities such as a summer day camp for children and grandchildren of staff, volunteers and residents.

The “Circle of Life” at Phoebe Allentown also provides opportunities for residents to garden, volunteer, care for house plants, bake and tend to live-in cats, birds and fish.
