Musikfest

Mike Fitzgerald, of Media, has been named the winner of the C. F. Martin Guitar contest at Musikfest 2015. C.F. Martin & Company chairman and CEO Chris Martin personally presented Fitzgerald with the new Martin D-35 guitar during his recent trip to the Nazareth factory.

The Martin Guitar contest coincided with the debut of the Martin Jam Tent at SteelStacks, which featured the company’s complete line of acoustic guitars on display. Musikfest was part of a select group of music festivals and events across the nation that hosted the Jam Tent 2015.

The hand-made guitars are a combination of old and new design and techniques, including features that have become industry standards such as X-bracing, the 14-fret guitar and the “Dreadnought” size.
