Ronald M. “Pop” Andrews, 73, of Orefield, died Sept. 9, 2015, at home.
He and his wife Cheri L. (Watters) Andrew recently celebrated their 51st wedding anniversary.
Born in Allentown, he was the son of the late Robert W. Sr. and Barbara D. (Follweiler) Andrews, and stepson of Vera (Verzino) Andrews, who raised him since he was 3.
He was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Allentown.
A William Allen High School alumnus, he graduated in 1964 from Muhlenberg College with a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting.
After working for various companies, he opened his own practice in the early 1980s, through which he enjoyed making lifelong relationships with his clients.
In his earlier years, he was an avid golfer with many leagues and continued with various bowling leagues.
He was an avid fan of country music and the Phillies; but, above all else, he was a proud “Pop” and the No. 1 fan in the stands at any of the kids’ sporting events.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by sons, John R. and his wife, Anne Railton, of Falcon, N.C., Mark E. of Indian Rocks Beach, Fla.; daughters Joy A., wife of Joseph Augustus of New Tripoli, Kimberly F., wife of Jamie Alackness of Denver, Colo.; and 11 grandchildren.
He was predeceased by brothers John and Robert Jr.
