Kathryn E. Hauze, 88, formerly of Catasauqua, died Sept. 11, 2015, in Holy Family Manor, Bethlehem.

She was the wife of the late Lewis E. Hauze.

Born Sept. 19, 1926, in Williamsport, Lycoming County, she was the daughter of the late Walter F. and Marie C. (Shaffer) Shebest.

She was a registered nurse in the private practice of the late Dr. William Dewar before retiring in 1960.

She was a member of Annunciation Blessed Virgin Mary Church, Catasauqua.

Her survivors include children Lewis J. of Whitehall, Marie C. of Bethlehem, and Douglas A. of Omaha, Neb.; brother Paul C. Shebest of Kalamazoo, Mich.; and grandchildren Rebecca and Max.
