“For the Love of Art,” an exhibit of paintings by the master watercolorist Frank A. Pietrucha (1926 - 2014) continues through Oct. 26 in the art gallery, Communications Hall, Northampton Community College, Bethlehem Campus, 3835 Green Pond Road, Bethlehem Township.

The exhibit was curated by his daughter, Dr. Diane P. Fischer, a professor of art history at Cedar Crest College and former chief curator of the Allentown Art Museum of the Lehigh Valley.

Fischer will present a lecture about Pietrucha’s work at 11 a.m. Sept. 10. A reception, which is also free and open to the public, will be held 6 - 9 Sept. 18.

Fischer has highlighted the mainstay of Pietrucha’s seven-decade career: landscapes and architectural paintings, including scenes of Bermuda, Europe, New England, Cape May and historic locales in New Jersey. Also featured are the artist’s paper sculptures in curvilinear forms, each created from one piece of watercolor paper.

The gallery is open 8 a.m. - 7 p.m. Mondays - Thursdays and 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays. It is closed Sundays.
