Street Fair set for Saturday
Northampton’s Street Fair will be held noon-5 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 12, on Main Street, between 18th and 21st streets. Sponsored by the Northampton Area Chamber of Commerce, the event will again feature crafters, tours of the Roxy Theatre and live music by Steel Creek Band and Henry Laurito.
The youth of St. Paul’s UCC, Northampton, will be selling candy, water, soda and punch balloons 10 a.m.-5 p.m., Saturday at the Street Fair. The theme of the booth is “Candy Land.” All proceeds benefit the group’s trip to the National Youth Event 2016.
The Siegfried Railroad Station, West 21st Street, will be open 9 a.m.-4 p.m., Saturday, in conjunction with the Street Fair.
There will be mums available for sale. Mums ordered previously will be available for pickup as well.
The station will also be open 1-4 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 20.
The fall garage sale will be held Saturday, Oct. 3.

Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1904 Main St., will hold its annual basket social 10 a.m.-3 p.m. and 5-8 p.m., Friday, Sept. 11 and 9 a.m.-3 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 12 in the church basement. There are more than 350 items to be raffled off, so there will be something for everyone. The drawing will take place at 3:30 p.m. Saturday. You don’t need to be present to win.
The kitchen will also be open the same hours for food and beverages. The basket social benefits the Northampton Area Food Bank and the church.

St. John’s Friendly Fifties will hold its 24th anniversary meeting at 1 p.m., Monday, Sept. 14 in the church social hall, 1343 Newport Ave. The Rosary will be prayed at 11:30 a.m. in the church. Lunch will be served. Mike Skweir will provide the music.

The cenacle to the Divine Mercy of Queenship of Mary Church is offering a one-day trip to Stockbridge, Mass., on Wednesday, Oct. 7. The trip to the National Shrine of Divine Mercy on Eden Hill will leave at 7 a.m. from St. Joe’s parking lot on Canal Street and return at approximately 9:30 p.m. the same day.
