“Natural Beekeeping: Organic Approaches to Modern Apiculture,” authored in 2012 by Ross Conrad, will be shown 7 p.m. Sept. 17 in the Academic Forum, Room 102, of Kutztown University.
This free event is open to the public.
Parking is available in lot A6.
Conrad, of Vermont, brings together the best “do no harm” strategies for keeping honeybees healthy and productive with sensible alternatives to conventional chemical practices.
Conrad learned his craft from the late Charles Mraz, world-renowned beekeeper and founder of Champlain Valley Apiaries in Vermont.
Former president of the Vermont Beekeepers Association, Conrad is a regular contributor to Bee Culture: The Magazine of American Beekeeping.
Free refreshments will be provided and a discussion period will follow the 90-minute presentation.
The event is coordinated by the Lehigh Valley Beekeepers Association and the university’s Department of Biology under the direction of Dr. Robyn Underwood.
