Joyce Schaffer, 80, of Allentown, formerly of Emmaus, died Sept. 3, 2015, at the Phoebe Home. She was the wife of the late William Schaffer who died in 2001. Born in Emmaus, she was a daughter of the late Peter and Evelyn (Heil) Fegley.

She was a member of the Emmaus Moravian Church. In the past she was active with the peanut gang at the church.

She retired from Rodale Press where she was employed as a clerk.

She enjoyed cooking, spending time in the mountains and taking care of her grandchildren.

She is survived by daughters, Carol and her husband Craig E. Maurer Sr., Gail; grandsons, Craig Jr., Kyle.

Memorial contributions may be made in her name to the church, 146 Main St., Emmaus, 18049.
