Jean A. Bastian, 89, of Trexlertown, died on Sept. 4, 2015, in her home.
She and her husband Owen M. Bastian Jr. were married 67 years in January.
Born in Allentown, she was a daughter of the late John W. and Emma E. (DeLong) Strauss.
She was the secretary and bookkeeper for Owen M. Bastian Inc. for many years.
A member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, she was a member of the church’s Mothers Club and she helped plan festival services.
She was a member of The Royal Order of Amaranths and was, with her husband, a longtime Lutheran Services volunteer.
She loved and was loved by her family and enjoyed traveling.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by daughters, Patricia, wife of Thomas Petko, of West Chester, Nancy, wife of Fred Reimer, of Macungie, and Elaine, wife of James Kurtz, of Orefield; brother John Strauss, husband of Jean, from Breinigsville; five grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her sister, Dorothy M. Kuhns.
