Faith plans Rally Day, picnic

Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church, 3355 MacArthur Road, would like to remind all that the worship services and Sunday school return to fall hours on Sept. 13: services are at 8 and 10:30 a.m., and Sunday school is at 9:15 a.m.

The annual Rally Day and church picnic will take place throughout the morning and afternoon. Some of the activities featured will be a bingo game and desserts.

St. John’s United Church of Christ, Mickleys, will hold a painting party to celebrate Rally Day 9 a.m., Sept. 13. Everyone is welcome to attend.

The Woman’s Club of Whitehall Township would like to invite all who are interested in attending its first meeting of the 2015-16 club year 7 p.m., Monday, Sept. 14. The club meets at Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church, 3355 MacArthur Road.

The program for the meeting will be Cops ‘n’ Kids, presented by Beverly Bradley.

At 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 16, the Hokendauqua Chapter of Trout Unlimited will hold its meeting at Catasauqua High School, 2500 Bullshead Road, Northampton, in room C219. Dr. Dale Steventon will speak on fishing in Florida.

Registration for Hokendauqua Park & Playground’s boys’ and girls’ basketball will be held at the Hokey Legion, 3739 American Legion Drive, Whitehall, at the following times and dates: 6-8 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 16; 6-8 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 24; 6-8 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 30; and 6-8 p.m., Friday, Oct. 9. You can also register online at hokeypark.org from Wednesday, Sept. 16 through Friday, Oct. 9.

Visit hokeypark.org for registration forms and additional information. Registration forms may be downloaded and completed prior to coming to the legion for sign-ups. Please bring a copy of your child’s birth certificate, health insurance and contact information, including phone numbers and e-mail addresses.
