Township library closed for Labor Day

The Whitehall Township Public Library will be closed Monday, Sept. 7 for the Labor Day holiday. It will be open regular hours on Saturday, Sept. 5. The summer may be over, but there are still plenty of programs for all ages to attend.

***

There will be a “How to Sell on eBay” class at 10 a.m., Saturday, Sept. 12. We will talk about how to take photos, write up a description of the items you have to sell and list and ship items.

***

We will be doing demonstrations on how to use the PA Power Library at 11 a.m., Tuesday, Sept. 15 and 6 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 16. This is a free online source for all Pennsylvania residents. All you need is your home library card, with the barcode, to use this awesome resource. It contains information on health care, auto care, consumer information, finances, biographies and more. All of the resources are trustworthy and authoritative sources.

Registration for storytime begins on Sept. 8. Mrs. Santaliz or Mrs. Diane will read interesting stories to children age 3 to 6. The fall session begins at 10:30 a.m., Sept. 29, so register early for a spot!

Sage, a local music duo, will play live acoustic and electric music – everything from classic to contemporary rock, blues and pop – at 6:30 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 17 and The Barbershop Quartet ffourtissimo will present “This is the ’60s!” – a program in honor of the library’s founding in 1965 – at 7 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 24.
