Jeanette E. Henninger, 93, of Slatington, died Aug. 28, 2015, in her home surrounded by her loving family.

She was the wife of the late Harold J. Henninger.

Born March 9, 1922, in Weaversville, she was the daughter of the late Warren J. and Otillia C. (Smith) Smith.

A member of the Pennsylvania Potato Growers Association, she co-owned, with her husband, their family farm in Heidelberg Township, for 43 years before retiring in 1982.

She was a former member of Central Grange 1650, Germansville, and the United Church of Christ congregation of Heidelberg Union Church, Heidelberg Township.

Her survivors include children Janet L. Snyder and her husband, Jack, of New Tripoli, Gerald H. and his wife, Barbara, of Neffs, Warren A. and his wife, Judy, of Moses Lake, Wash., Donald L. and his wife, Nancy, of Houston, Texas, Kathleen O. Strunk and her husband, Willard, of Mertztown, Marilyn F. Crowley and her husband, Patrick Jr., of New Tripoli; 13 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by brothers Richard and Walter Smith.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Sept. 3, at Heidelberg Union Church, 5187 Irvin Road, Heidelberg Township, with Pastor Karen A. Yonney officiating.

Family and friends may pay their respects 10-11 a.m. Thursday in the church.
