Jagjit Singh Sandhu, 82, of Orefield, died Aug. 29, 2015, at Lehigh Valley Hospice, Inpatient Unit, Allentown. He was the husband of Nirmal K. Sandhu for 54 years.
Born in the former Punjab, India, now Pakistan, he was a son of the late Shamsher Singh and Raghbans Kaur (Khara) Sandhu.
He was a high school special education instructor for Upper Bucks County IU #22.
He attended Gurdwara Sikh Sadh Sangat, Easton.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Nita S. and her husband Garrett Schwartz of Genoa, Nev.; two sons, Sominder S. and his wife Shin-Ji Sandhu of New York and Rovinder S., M.D., and his wife Vanessa of Orefield; seven grandchildren; three brothers, Bhupinder S. and his wife Narinder K. Sandhu and Kultar S. and his wife Ajit K. Sandhu, all of Pittsburgh, and Pritam S. Sandhu of India; and many nieces and nephews.
