Seth Laky (left) and Britton Shander, who represented the Lehigh Valley team for the Keystone State Games that were held recently, July 30-Aug. 2, at York College. The Lehigh Valley division consisted of players from Northampton, Lehigh, Berks and Monroe counties. Interested players were given the opportunity to try out at various locations throughout these counties on numerous occasions. Seth and Britton played on the junior division for the games and took home the gold medal in the finals beating the Delaware Valley team 16-8 in ten innings. Prior to that, the LV team faced teams from the Pocono, Nittany, Blue Mountain and West Divisions. Both boys were starters in the final game with Laky playing third base and Britton playing second. Laky and Britton also play for the JV baseball team at Northampton High School.
