Golf season kicks off
Northampton, Bethlehem Catholic, Parkland and East Stroudsburg South squared off in a golf match to open the 2015 season on Thursday, Aug. 20.
The match took place at Southmoore’s par-71 course.
Becahi came away with the sweep shooting a 404 to best Parkland (412), Northampton (420) and Eastburg South (513).
The Hawks Sean Costello had the best round of the day shooting a one-under 70. Nick Maff of the Hawks was three shots back with a 73.
The Trojans best score was Alec Cwienkala with a 78 while the Kids were led by Jack Test and Michael Kovalchik who both had 82. Chris Toleno of Eastburg had a 76.

Freedom competed in a golf match with Stroudsburg, Central and Whitehall recently.
Stroudsburg shot 411, CCHS 428, Freedom 445 and Whitehall 529.
Stroudsburg’s Sam Ewing had the low round of the day with a 78.
Freedom’s Sean Abel had a team-best 83 as the Pates fell to the Mounties and Vikings while beating the Zephs.
The match was played at Allentown’s par-72.
