Roy R. Weil Sr., 84, of Orefield, died Aug. 22, 2015, in Lehigh Center, Macungie.

He and his wife, Jacqueline E. (Strohl) Weil, were married 61 years last Oct. 11.

Born April 12, 1931, in Lowhill Township, he was the son of the late Tilghman E. Sr. and Agnes V. (Reichard) Weil.

A member of Steamfitters Local Union 420, Philadelphia, he was employed by H.T. Lyons Inc., Allentown, before retiring in 1994.

Prior to that, he worked at the former East Penn Mechanical, Allen Mechanical and Lehigh Air Conditioning for a combined total of 30 years.

He will always be remembered for his ability to fix or repair practically anything.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Roy R. Jr. and his wife, Jennie, of Folsom, Calif.; daughter Debra A. Shackett and her husband, Robert, of New Tripoli; sister Rose Ellen Biggers of Holly Hill, Fla.; granddaughters Serena, Lori, Amanda and Christina; great-grandchildren Ethan, Kailei and Lilly.

He was predeceased by brothers Tilghman Jr., Ralph and Charles.
