Mary A. Morton, 99, of Morristown, N.J., formerly of Fogelsville, died July 31, 2015, in Morristown Memorial Hospital, Morristown.

Born July 19, 1916, in New Tripoli, she was the daughter was of the late Franklin and Lena (Walter) Metzger.

A graduate of Allentown High School and St. Luke’s Hospital School of Nursing, she was a registered nurse at St. Luke’s Hospital, Bethlehem.

She proudly served in both WW II and the Korean Conflict, as a lieutenant commander in the Naval Nurse Corps.

Her survivors include a daughter, Pamela Morton Kerschner and grandchildren, Emily and August Kerschner.

She was predeceased by her husband, Kenneth Morton,

Her graveside service will be private.
