Officers arrested a man for stealing items valued at $187.91 at the West Union Boulevard Staples around 6 p.m. Aug. 2.

Witnesses allegedly saw him opening or removing 22 items from packages and using them in the copy machine area of the store.

Bradley McGowan, 50, of High Street, is charged with retail theft.
