Linda “Lynne” M. Beyers

Linda “Lynne” M. Beyers, 72, of Lower Saucon Township and previously of Lusby, Md., died Aug. 20, 2015, in Liberty Nursing Home, Allentown. Born in Fountain Hill, she was a daughter of the late Richard F. and Marian L. (Weand) Mease.

She was a 1960 graduate of Moravian Preparatory School, now Moravian Academy, Bethlehem. She earned a bachelor’s degree in elementary education and in special education from West Chester University.

She was an elementary and special education teacher for 40 years in Pennsylvania; Charlottesville, Va.; and, most recently, for St. Mary’s County School District, Md.

She was a member of Central Moravian Church.

She is survived by a sister, Sandi K. and her husband Barry Gebhart, with whom she resided; a niece, Susan M. and her husband Steven Schlack of Bethlehem; and two nephews, Timothy C. and his wife Bethany Brevik Gebhart of Minot, N.D. and Christian D. and his wife Allison Krasley Gebhart of Bethlehem.
