Roger A. Gogle Sr., 78, of Coplay, North Whitehall Township, died Aug. 13, 2015, in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Allentown.
Born Sept. 11, 1936, in Coplay, he was the son of the late Allen W. and Evelyn (Marsh) Gogle.
He and his wife Amelia (Lotti) Gogle shared 60 years of marriage on April 16.
He worked for Overlook Orchards, North Whitehall, for 32 years before retiring in 2000.
He also owned and operated Roger's Country Store, Laury's Station, from 1978-83.
A member of St. John's United Church of Christ, Laury's Station, he formerly served on church council.
A life member of the Laury's Station Volunteer Fire Company, he was a long-time supporter of the Laury's Station Athletic Association and former coach of boys baseball and girls softball.
He was also a member of St. John's UCC Bowlers and Keenagers.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by sons Roger Jr. and wife, Julia, of Coplay, and Ronald A. and wife, Susan, of Rochester, N.Y.; brother Richard D. of Coplay; and grandchildren Timothy, Jennifer and Amanda.
