Ernest J. Core Jr., 80, of Allentown, died Aug. 16, 2015, at home.

He was the husband of the late Florence A. (Ruark) Core.

Born In Stedman, N.C., he was a son of the late Ernest J. Sr. and Nettie (Starling) Core.

A territory representative for Riverside Manufacturing Company for 27 years, he previously was a regional manager for Coca-Cola, Salisbury, Md.

He served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.

His survivors include a son, E.J. III and his fiancée, Kelly; daughter Courtney N. and her fiancé Tom; sister Lynette, wife of Benny Autry; brother Charles; and grandchildren Nathan, Justin, Conner and Taryn.

He was predeceased by brothers Lloyd and Boyce; and sisters Madeline and Reese.

His services will be at 11 a.m. Aug. 22, at Trexler Funeral Home 1625 W. Highland St., Allentown, PA 18102.
