St. John the Baptist Church in Stiles is holding its annual church picnic Sunday, Sept. 6, noon-9 p.m.

The picnic will be held on the church grounds, located on Ruch and Chestnut streets.

There are always delicious food selections to feast on.

Musical entertainment and games will make for a very enjoyable day. Bring your lawn chairs so you can sit down, relax and listen to the music.

This is always a nice end-of-summer celebration, and you are certain to run into neighbors and friends from the community too.

The Great Allentown Fair is Tuesday, Sept. 1-7.

The fair is always a fun time with all of the tasty food treats, the exciting rides and exceptional entertainment.

Close out the summer of 2015 with a trip to the fair and make some memories.

Drivers, please be aware that students in our neighborhoods will begin to return to school over the next few weeks.

Students will be walking to the bus stops and buses will be filling the streets.
