J. Alex Satkowski, 77, of Orefield, died July 31, 2015, in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township.

Born July 30, 1938, in Flushing, N.Y., he was the son of the late Charles and Rachel (Trexler) Satkowski.

He and his wife Kathleen (Carr) Satkowski were married 47 years.

He was the owner of Tall Timbers Nursery, Allentown, before retiring in 2012.

He served in the Army during the Vietnam War.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son Trex Satkowski wife, Colleen, of Coplay; daughter Jennifer, wife of Jeffrey McCary of Schnecksville; grandchildren Liam, Olivia and Nicole; and great-grandson Lukas.

He was predeceased by a brother Trexler.
