Local students earn scholarships

Local incoming freshmen received scholarships to attend the college Lebanon Valley College: Adam Schisler, who graduated from Northampton Area High School and plans to study business administration, and Ryan Johnson, who graduated from Bethelehem Catholic High School and plans to study criminal justice.

Local resident graduates

Jamir Palmer, of Bath, graduated from Coastal Carolina University with a bachelor of science degree in recreation and sports management.

Elizabethtown College

Area student receives award

Madison McCall, a junior majoring in international business, of Bath, was named as an Emergent Scholar at Elizabethtown College.

The award requires the recipient to earn at least a 3.75 cumulative GPA at the end of her first three semesters.

University of Rochester

Local student named to dean's list

Nicholas Nathan Wachter, of Bath, a graduate of Northampton Area High School, has been named to the dean's list for the spring 2015 semester at the University of Rochester. He is a sophomore majoring in business and the son of Steward and Denise Wachter.
