Patrick Glasgow of Whitehall has been chosen to receive the commitment to excellence scholarship for the fall 2015 semester at Millersville University.

Foster attains dean's list

Brian Foster of Northampton has been named to the dean's list for the spring semester at the University of Rhode Island.

Foster is pursuing doctor of pharmacy and master of business administration degrees.

He is a 2013 graduate of Allentown Central Catholic High School.

Ithaca College

Residents named to dean's list

Dakota Collina of Bath and Dana Kempf of Coplay have been named to the dean's list at Ithaca College for the spring semester.

Collina is a communication management and design major, and Kempf is majoring in television-radio.

Fairleigh Dickinson Univ.

Lynch earns

honors

Felicia Lynch of Whitehall has been named to the honor's list for the spring semester at Fairleigh Dickinson University.

To qualify for the honor's list, a student must carry a 3.5 GPA or better and be enrolled in a minimum of 12 letter graded hours.

Lynch has also been inducted into the Fairleigh Dickinson University Phi Omega Epsilon honor society for the spring semester.

Lock Haven University

Longacre

Daniel Longacre of Northampton graduated from Lock Haven University with a bachelor of science degree in health sciences, magna cum laude.

Longacre, a 2011 graduate of Northampton Area High School, plans to continue his education in the physician assistant program at Chatham University.

Mellinger earns honors

Brooke Mellinger of Whitehall recently received Penn State University Athletic Conference All Conference status for women's basketball.

Students must achieve a GPA of 3.0 or above to receive such recognition.

Lebanon Valley College

Berner selected as ambassodor

Megan Berner of Whitehall is one of 57 students selected to serve as a valley ambassador for Lebanon Valley College this fall.

Berner, a graduate of Whitehall High School, is pursuing a bachelor of science degree in actuarial science.

University of Delaware

Residents named to dean's list

The following students have been named to the University of Delaware dean's list for the spring semester:

Sydney Jaworowski of Catasauqua; Kristen Danek of Bath; Samantha Upton of Coplay; and Whitehall residents Connor Bydion, Taylor Feher, Brittany Pantoni and Luke Szewczak.

To be eligible, a student must be enrolled full-time and earn a GPA of 3.33 or above for the semester.

Rochester Institute of TechnoloGy

Dorschutz named to dean's list

Sierra Dorschutz of Coplay has been named to the dean's list for the spring semester at Rochester Institute of Technology.

To be eligible for the dean's list, a student must have a GPA of 3.4 or higher, no grades of incomplete, D or F and registered for and complete 12 credit hours.

St. Joseph's University

Sell named

to dean's list

Rachel Sell of Catasauqua has been named to the dean's list for the spring semester at St. Joseph's University.

Sell is majoring in actuarial sciences.

To attain dean's list, students must achieve a GPA of 3.5 or above, a B or greater in all classes taken and complete 15 credits.

Pitten, Villarreal named to dean's list

Whitehall residents Tabitha Pitten and Christina Villarreal have been named to the dean's list for the spring semester at St. Joseph's University.

Pitten is majoring in pharmaceutical marketing, and Villarreal is majoring in marketing.

Local students earn scholarships

Local incoming freshmen received scholarships to attend the college Lebanon Valley College: Adam Schisler, who graduated from Northampton Area High School and plans to study business administration, and Ryan Johnson, who graduated from Bethelehem Catholic High School and plans to study criminal justice.

Jean Charlot of Whitehall graduated with a master of public of administration from Fairleigh Dickinson University.

Brooke Durnin of Northampton has received the 2015-16 Henry T. and Dorothy S. Feige Environmental Science Scholarship based on her academic standing at Widener University, Chester.

She was also named to the dean's list for the spring semester.

University of the Sciences

Labram named to dean's list

Yvonne Labram of Whitehall has been named to the spring dean's list at the University of the Sciences.

Selection is based on completing and passing all assigned courses with no grade below a C, as well as attaining a GPA of at least 3.4.

Labram is a doctor of pharmacy student.

Coastal Carolina Univ.

Local resident graduates

Jamir Palmer, of Bath, graduated from Coastal Carolina University with a bachelor of science degree in recreation and sports management.

Elizabethtown College

Area student receives award

Madison McCall, a junior majoring in international business, of Bath, was named as an Emergent Scholar at Elizabethtown College.

The award requires the recipient to earn at least a 3.75 cumulative GPA at the end of her first three semesters.

University of Rochester

Local student named to dean's list

Nicholas Nathan Wachter, of Bath, a graduate of Northampton Area High School, has been named to the dean's list for the spring 2015 semester at the University of Rochester. He is a sophomore majoring in business and the son of Stewart and Denise Wachter.
