Where has the summer gone?
It is hard to believe Musikfest is here and the Allentown Fair is not too far behind. That can only mean one thing; if any parents are like me, we're getting excited.....it's almost time for back to school.
Salisbury High School and Salisbury Middle School families received a back-to-school message regarding laptop distribution. Contact the schools if you did not get the message or you need to reschedule your pickup time.
The school district has been busy making renovations across the district at almost all the schools.
I for one, am actually looking forward to school shopping just to get this little cherub back to school.
The Salisbury Township school district partners with several local agencies to provide a head start program at Harry S Truman Elementary School. More information and applications are available at the school or on the district website at stsd.org.
The Wesley United Metholdist Church is offering a backpack festival 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. Aug. 15. The church is located at 2540 Center St., Bethlehem.
For those elementary students from HST, don't forget to keep practicing your Habit #7: Sharpen the Saw. The activity checklist distributed at the end of last school year, also available on the school website, can be returned by Sept. 4 for the drawing for back-to- school items.
There is a school board meeting scheduled 7:30 p.m. Aug. 19 in the administration building.
The Franko Farm recycling yard waste drop-off site will be open 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Aug. 22 and 25.
