St. John's United Church of Christ, 575 Grape St., is holding a Coach/Vera Bradley purse bingo Friday, Aug. 14. The doors open at 6 p.m.

There will be a Chinese auction, and food will be available.

Fullerton Playground, 901 Jefferson St., will be holding tryouts for the upcoming 2015-16 season for the following Fullerton Freeze girls softball teams: 12U on Aug. 6 , 6-8 p.m.; 14U on Aug. 8 and 22, 1-3 p.m. ; and Aug. 9 and 23, noon-2 p.m.; and 18U on Aug. 8 and 22, 3-5 p.m. and Aug. 9 and 23, 2-4 p.m.

All teams will be playing in the Lehigh Valley League and various tournaments.

There will also be sign-ups for this coming fall season for prep softball, ages 5-8, and 10U softball, ages 9-10, on Aug. 8, 2-5 p.m.
