Sen. Pat Browne R-16th, will hold his annual Community and Family Expo from 3-7 p.m. on Aug. 6 at Bucky Boyle Park, North Front and Gordon st, Allentown.
The event is free and open to the public and will be held rain or shine.
This will be the 10th year Sen. Browne has held this event, which is designed to provide valuable information to parents, grandparents and children about the myriad of programs, information and other services available to them from government and community groups.
Thanks to Lehigh Valley Cops 'n' Kids, all children will receive a free book while supplies last.
Scheduled exhibitors include:Capital BlueCross-CHIP Program, Lehigh Valley Cops 'N' Kids, Lehigh Valley Health Network, Allentown Health Bureau, and much more.
Scheduled entertainers and special guest stars include:a flag raising ceremony by the Civil Air Patrol, PAO Lehigh Valley Squadron 805, William Allen Chorale, Xcape Dance Studio, Karate demonstration by The Legend of Kenpo, Puerto Rican Forklorics Dance by Puerto Rican Culture Preservation, Allentown Symphony Orchestra's Musical Petting Zoo and surprise mascots from local organizations and businesses.
