THE FLAMING LIPS

That little old psychedelic rock band from Oklahoma City, The Flaming Lips, plays at Musikfest, 8:30 p.m. Aug. 7, Sands Steel Stage, PNC Plaza, SteelStacks, Bethlehem. You'll probably hear "Do You Realize," the official rock song of Oklahoma, and see frontman Wayne Coyne traverse the crowd in a plastic bubble. The Lips, formed more than 30 years ago, promulgate space-rock arrangements, elaborate concerts and unusual titles. Look and listen for the Lips to perform songs from their 16 albums, including "Telepathic Surgery," "Transmissions From The Satellite Heart," "Zaireeka." "The Soft Bulletin," "Yoshimi Battles The Pink Robots," "At War With The Mystics" and "With A Little Help From My Fwends." Or Not. Chappo opens the show at 7 p.m. Gates open at 5 p.m.
