Roger A. Herman, 71, of Allentown, died July 19, 2015, in Liberty Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Allentown.

He and his wife Faye E. (Heintzelman) Herman were married 43 years.

Born April 29, 1944, in Allentown, he was the son of the late Charles and Dorothy J. (Hartzell) Herman.

He faithfully and honorably served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War era.

He was a custodian for the Allentown School District for 30 years. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Alan R. of Allentown; brother Charles D. of Coplay; and granddaughter, Alexis L.

He was predeceased by a brother, Douglas.

A graveside service will take place 11 a.m. July 24, at Cedar Hill Memorial Park, 1700 Airport Road, Allentown.

There will be no calling hours.
