Kelly Ann Denny Stoops, 55, of Bethlehem, died July 12, 2015, in the home of her daughter. Born in Denver, Colo., she was a daughter of Thomas Denny of Glen Mills and the late Constance (Gettings) Denny.

She was a 1981 graduate of Duquesne University and earned a master's degree in education from Lehigh University. She was recently a doctoral degree in family literacy candidate at Widener University.

She was an educator for the past 35 years, more recently in the Allentown School District, and was a child literacy and English language learning advocate.

She was a member of Sts. Simon and Jude Catholic Church, Bethlehem.

She is survived by a daughter, Rosaria Marie "Sally" Martin-Stoops and her husband Kenneth of Bethlehem; two sons, Andrew C. and his wife Elise of Claymont, Del., and Vincent B. of Selinsgrove; three sisters, Susan Denny Brewer, Judith Denny-Lybbert and Constance Riley; and a brother, Thomas Denny.
